The Brazilian Grand Prix of Formula 1 attracted nearly 300,000 tourists, both domestic and international. Alongside an exciting win for driver Max Verstappen, the Grand Prix left an economic boost of approximately R$ 2 billion<\/a> in S\u00e3o Paulo, the host city.<\/p>\n\n\n

This data includes the influx of tourists in the city, which offered various activities throughout the weekend on November 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, leading up to the main event at the Interlagos circuit. According to S\u00e3o Paulo Tourism (SPTuris<\/a>), the city’s tourism office, these figures surpass last year’s record of R$ 1.64 billion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite the heavy rain that fell during the Interlagos GP, attendance hit a new high for the Brazilian Grand Prix.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The report by SPTuris, supported by the Funda\u00e7\u00e3o Get\u00falio Vargas<\/a> (FGV), also highlighted that, based on 2023 data, international tourists accounted for 12.2% of seats at the Interlagos circuit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Argentine tourists topped the list of international attendees at the Brazilian Grand Prix, followed by Chileans, Colombians, and Uruguayans. Last year\u2019s top list also included Peruvians, Swiss, Paraguayans, Bolivians, and Americans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
